Well we've changed the book for this month as Middlesex is quite long so we are now doing 'The help" by Kathryn Stockett. Set in Jackson, Mississippi, 1962, with the Civil rights movement exploding, three women start a movement of their own, changing a town and the way women, black and white, mothers and daughters, view one another.
This is a really readable and enjoyable book. Funny and tragic. I read it last year so probably won't get around to re-reading it. I will watch the film as a refresher, it is a good interpretation. Enjoy!
